The presentation will address different aspects of resistance training in children, such as effects of growth and maturation on the trainability of muscular strength, health benefits of resistance training for youth, as well as effectiveness of youth resistance training for the development of motor skill and physical performance.The main focus will be on the resistance training guidelines for children and adolescents, including exercise selection, training volume and intensity, progression of volume and intensity, rest intervals during training sessions, training frequency and repetition velocity.
